Let's reimagine the narrative that people with disabilities are asexual, always fetishized, or incapable of engaging in sexual activity! People with disabilities engage in intimate relationships and express their sexuality in ways that are fulfilling and meaningful to them. Their sex lives are full and passionate and sexy! Let's normalize it on screen.

It is important to recognize the diversity and complexity of experiences, and to prioritize the agency and autonomy of individuals with disabilities when it comes to their own sexual expression and intimacy.

There is an added layer of complexity when it comes to telling stories involving characters with disabilities, whether the actors playing those characters are people with disabilities, and the idea that we can tell stories of disabled people without their disability being at the center of the story. These are all nuances that IC's need to be analyzing in their approach to this content.
