Martyna Czarnecka is an intimacy coordinator working across theatre and film. She trained in Los Angeles, developing her practice in line with international industry standards, which she now adapts to the Polish production landscape.
She is also a professionally trained actress, a graduate of the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Wrocław, Poland, and continues to work actively on stage and on film sets. This dual perspective allows her to move fluidly between the needs of performers and the demands of the creative process, supporting working environments that are safe, respectful, and artistically grounded.
Martyna collaborates with leading theatres in Warsaw, working closely with directors and creative teams on the development of intimate scenes that are both secure and narratively precise. Her practice brings together structure, clarity, and sensitivity to the creative process, offering choreographic support that deepens the storytelling.
She is particularly interested in the representation of diverse intimate relationships, including LGBTQIA+ perspectives, and approaches her work as both a safeguarding practice and a creative contribution to the depth and authenticity of a scene.
Her first experience choreographing an intimate scene was an unusual one - the performers were suspended on ropes, moving high above the ground. That process shaped her openness to challenging work and reinforced her belief that the creative potential of this practice has no limits.
